Hello everyone,
It is with great pleasure and pride that I join the Gabrielle-Roy School community as principal for the 2026–2027 school year. I am delighted to embark on this new journey and look forward to collaborating with students, families, and the entire school team. From my very first interactions, I have seen a dynamic, welcoming school community that is deeply committed to student success.
We are continuing to implement our Continuous Improvement Plan, which focuses on two key priorities: developing literacy skills and creating a positive, caring, and inclusive school environment.
To support student learning and well-being, we will continue to foster a positive school climate where behavioral expectations are explicitly taught right from the start of the year. These expectations are grounded in three core values: respect, responsibility, and autonomy.
Respect is demonstrated through kind words and actions toward others and the school environment. Responsibility encourages students to make thoughtful choices and take ownership of their actions. Autonomy fosters confidence, perseverance, and the ability to learn with increasing independence.
Throughout the year, our team will support each student’s learning and personal growth by providing strategies, targeted interventions, and support tailored to individual needs. Our goal is to enable every student to progress and achieve meaningful success.
Gabrielle-Roy School is a safe, inclusive environment enriched by its cultural diversity. We value differences and believe they contribute to the strength and richness of our school community. Collaboration between the school and families remains essential to student success. We thank you for your trust and your ongoing commitment.
I wish you all an excellent 2026–2027 school year, filled with learning, discoveries, and great successes.
Michel Lapointe
Principal
